Life and whatever?

February 14, 2008 · Leave a Comment

A week before Valentines Day last year I talked to a High schoolmate “Did you by any chances meet your princess, well I haven’t met my Prince Harry?” He laughed and replied “I am single and happy to be” I don’t know if he’s met someone this year. If by any chances he’s made it to Brown and met someone ‘You have got it all dude’.
For me (pretentiously hard core Shiv sena) Life doesn’t seem to get any easier. Desparingly, Hits F.M’s on an assignment to wipe out every loner. Bono keeps on singing “Oh…..oh…oh…the sweetest thing” and there’s “If I got down on my knees and I pleaded with you…..” Dear Lord why this torture? It’s just a day isn’t it? This morning I have already gobbled up two bars of chocolate and there’s an exclusive plan. I have got to spy on someone’s date…If the date’s ‘mistletoe’ there’s going to be weeding bells and sadly if there’s no magic we have got to move on. I am ready to put on Holmes coat. I should be ready to go now. It’s going to be a hell of a day, my hearts tell me. I wish myself all the luck in the world.

Stars in disguise: Watching Taren Zameen Par

A little sweet, a little sour A little close, not too far All I need… All I need is to be free……………… ( Taare Zameen Par) Amir Khan’s directorial debut Taare Zameen Par (TZP) is a wondrous experience. The life of an eight-year kid, Ishan Nanda Kishore Awasti, takes us down memory lane and encourages us to recollect our kiddo experiences. It’s a call for each grown up to feel that long gone innocence- to feel that bliss we haven’t lost yet. Our playful acts blindly judged as bad behavior by our guardians. We may not have had the privilege of encouragement from our elders for our petty passions but it’s not too late to make it right. We don’t have to live our ambitions and dreams through our children. A kind act, a warm hug and kisses of love blessed upon our children can solve the missing puzzle in their lives.

Undoubtedly ‘every child is special’.
