Writing’s turning out just to be a reminder of how dumb I am with keyboards and yuck marriages suck and stink. They can even make you feel like a man with a moustache wearing pink. How gross is that?
There’s some great news, women rock and rule. Twenty six women candidates (24 from CPN (Maoist), 1 each from NC and Madhesi Peoples Rights Forum have been victorious in the CA elections. Hurray!
So what? Do they even know why they have been the chosen or all they will do is blurt what their comrades coach them. Hey! That isn’t a problem, so must have all experienced male political leaders from different political parties they contested with and won with fair amounts of votes. They will lead and learn. Congratulations to all them!
Celebration time for Nepal’s biggest Communist party but I can’t forget the song of women in a remote village in Rolpa. Surendra Phuyal was reporting for BBC: it makes no difference to them or to the ladies I see in the streets of Kathmandu selling a few items in their bamboo baskets.
Development isn’t a worm tablet. It won’t rid you of a worm called ‘poverty’ if you just gulp it down on a sunny day with water. It takes time and even longer if it is to be sustainable. Women have only been represented overwhelmingly for the first time in the history of Nepal. We have just started out but with a determination to change the fate of Nepal. We are the future of this Sati cursed, eight hour lights cut off bearing no more the only Hindu nation in the world ‘NEPAL’.
