A long trip

Goodbye Kathmandu………….. I am off on a long long trip…………

Nowhere

Finally I come to watch a Nepali movie and what happens is I arrive before one hr and I am stranded. So, what do I do? I ogle at the streets, stare at the passersby, walk around the cinema hall a couple of times and decide to go to a cyber cafe. I walk up the weird steps of the building, follow the red arrows that says “e-mail, internet and then I reach a closed door that says the institute has closed down and moved to a new place. so I walk down slowly and decide maybe I went the wrong way. Then I see the cafe and all seems to be right.

Life is so unpredictable.I had all the time in the world. I could have watched a dozen movies. No, all I did was laze around. Now, it’s past the deadline which was itself due by two weeks. I have nothing to write about,my mind goes empty and I realize if I don’t watch a movie I will not be able to write. I have no plans of going to a cinema hall. Our class is going to a field visit somewhere in the outskirts of Ktm. I arrive late to an unknown place, I call up my class mates. They have switched off their mobiles. So what do I do? I decide I must do what I need to do….go watch “MAIDAN”. The name itself sounds too good for a movie. I am sure I am going to have one hell of a time.Unless, all the tickets are all sold out. I am not sure if it’s maidan or paledai. I don’t have any complains. One Nepali kathanak chalchitra and I am done.

I missed going to the human rights org though. I hope our tutor does not get moody over the absentees. I don’ t know, maybe I should get going. How terrible can life get?bo…hu…hu…..going to a movie alone?……….

All smiles now, No pals, no fans, no one to disturb us only me and “Rajesh Hamal” I can bet my bottom dollar he’s not going to sweep me off my feet. Nothing matters now. I hope I will soon be inside the dark, smelly hall, the crows flying in the screen and the villian shouting”hey….hey….hey”….and Rekha dancing to “ueeee..uie…..current lagcha malai choye…..” Maybe the new rising star …Biraj bhatt is their too. Let’s see what happens…..

Thursday……

Today is MARCH 22nd, THURSDAY. At the moment it’s 3:16 pm and I just want to go home. There were two classes today and both of them ended before 12:00 so I had all the time to myself. The bus goes to ktm only at 4:oo so I am trying to cook something to write.

The philosophy and Nepali criticism classes weren’t boring at all which was least expected. HOD’’s reaction to my claim even more unexpected. so today was a day of suprises.

Fortunately, the bus ride back home wont be boring. My bus partner is too jolly to be left alone. We laugh so much that sometimes we are almost on the bus floor. Every bus ride is not so much fun. Sometimes we decide to sleep or look out of the window. But today we have a mission. The mission is to locate Biraj Bhatt in one of the posters of the new Neapli film “Dadagiri”.

Nepali films:a great issue to talk about. That will consume my another day. I must leave now. I wil surely taik about Dadagiri but that will be another day. It’s 3:30 and I think I should get going.
